Site floor plan

This is where most real work happens. The floor plan shows the site’s drawings with your assets placed on them, organised into layers you can show and hide.

Three ideas meet on this screen:

  • A drawing is the plan itself — the PDF or image of a floor.
  • A layer groups related items so you can view one trade at a time — mechanical, electrical, fire safety.
  • An asset is a real thing in the building — a boiler, a panel, a door — placed on the drawing where it physically is.
  • Browse the catalogue and place assets — open the catalogue panel, then drag a listing onto the plan. The asset is created where you drop it.
  • Place many at once — grid add lays out a whole array (a ceiling of lights, a wall of panels) in one action.
  • Select an asset — tap it to see its details, photos, and history.
  • Show and hide layers — focus on one trade’s view of the building.
  • Open a drawing — switch between floors and plans.

Placing from the catalogue is the recommended way to create assets: the asset inherits the listing’s specification, so your data stays consistent across the estate. Working offline is fine — placements sync when you’re back on a connection.
